This cool LP is called Fireball and is the fifth album by English rock band Deep Purple, released in and the second with the Mk II line-up. It became the first of the band's three UK No. 1 albums, though it did not stay on the charts as long as its predecessor, Deep Purple in Rock. The boogie-inspired "Strange Kind of Woman" reached No. date: .

Fireball was and still is one of my favourite deep purple albums (I have all of the original releases and some of the later issues - even some of the unfortunately-awful live ones with Bolin and Hughes). As other viewers have commented, this version is missing "Demon's Eye" and features "Strange Kind of Woman" instead/5().

"Strange Kind of Woman" was issued as an advance single from Deep Purple's _Fireball_ album. Backed with the unreleased LP cut "I'm Alone", the single was a huge success in England, while failing to chart in the states. "Strange Kind of Woman" would never have been pushed out if the cut had retained it's original working title of "Prostitute".
